A traditional fishing town with a maritime heritage Whitby boasts the Captain Cook Museum craft and antique shops galleries jewellers selling the famous Whitby Jet tea rooms gourmet fish restaurants pubs galore and a host of other attractions. Extensive walking can be enjoyed locally on the Cleveland Way cliffs top paths or surrounding moorlands whose pretty villages are also a delight to explore.
