And if visitors can tear themselves away from all these pleasures the wonderful Yorkshire moorlands and Dales invite exploration. Just half an hour’s drive away is Pickering setting for the Flamingo Land theme park fascinating Eden Camp and the North York Moors Steam Railway. On the coast the traditional seaside resort of Scarborough quaint harbour town of Whitby and the picturesque fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay are all within an hour’s journey.
