The National Forest provides an outstandingly lovely backdrop for walking cycling and wildlife spotting whilst within a half hour’s drive Alton Towers and Drayton Manor Park offer thrilling family fun. Canal boats can be hired by the day nearby and Twycross Zoo Chatsworth Calke Abbey Haddon Kedleston and Sudbury Halls are all easily accessible. Derby is 5 miles away.
