Sleeps up to 6 people.
Gathman's Cottage is a listed building which has been lovingly restored to retain its original features but with mod cons. It is surrounded by a fenced garden and is situated on the owner's mixed farm. Cows and calves graze right outside the cottage and the distant views are superb. Peace and tranquillity abound. Inside, ceilings are beamed, floors are original quarry tiles and the Rayburn cosy.

Kitchen
The kitchen is a 'lean-to' addition to the original building but is in itself old also. Though fairly small it is well-equipped with fridge/freezer, electric cooker, washing machine etc. There is, in addition, a Rayburn cooker (oil-fired; oil is supplied) in the adjacent living/dining room which can be used to boil a kettle or for long, slow cooking of a casserole overnight. It mainly serves the purpose of keeping the heart of the cottage warm on those chillier days of Autumn or Winter.
Living Room
The living room or lounge (as distinct from the living/dining room, above) is not large as this is a cottage but has seating for six and a wood-burning stove. It is equipped with a TV, DVD and video-player. For extra space some members of your party can use the adjacent living/dining room which has a big pine table and chairs and is the heart of this ancient cottage.
