Little Briar self catering holiday cottage boasts stunning views over Loch Earn in Lochearnhead, Perthshire. The detached stone cottage faces south elevated on the 2 acre site of a 300 year old thatched croft house that once belonged to local families the McGregors, the Duke of Breadalbane(descended from Campbells) and two centuries of McLarens. Little Briar sits in generous landscaped gardens, featuring ornamental furniture, decking and terraces. A separate driveway leads to the cottage with parking for 2 cars. Guests can enjoy the 250ft garden on the loch with its summer house, jetty, furniture, slipway, mooring buoys, leisure swing and barbecue/chiminee. A stream runs the length of the property with a paddock at the rear leading to the path of the disbanded railway line that was featured on BBC2's Railway Walks series. There are 2 hotels "The Lochearnhead" and "The Clachan Cottage" within 200 metres of the entrance to the cottage grounds. There is also a cafe open for breakfast lunch and early evening meals within the watersports and activities centre offering Archery, wakeboarding, Mountain Bike hire and more. Lochearnhead village is in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park in the centre of Scotland making the cottage an ideal base for day visits to Scotland’s major towns and cities, in any direction. This is an excellent area for cycling, fishing, golf, wildlfe, history, plants, forests, folklore and Munro's as well as total relaxation.
